Day 1: Riga
Arrival in Riga. Pick-up of the rental car at the airport.
Overnight in Riga.
Day 2: Riga-Šiauliai-Vilnius
City tour in the capital of Latvia, founded in 1201. Recommended visit to magnificent Art Nouveau district.
In the afternoon drive to Vilnius, on the way stop at the Hill of Crosses near to Šiauliai, a pilgrimage site with thousands of crosses of all conceivable sizes. Just 40km away from Šiauliai short visit to Pakruojis Manor house can be made with coffee break of dinner at one of its restaurants.
Overnight in Vilnius.
Day 3: Vilnius-Trakai-Vilnius
Morning sightseeing in Vilnius, the baroque capital of Lithuania.
Afternoon excursion to Trakai with a visit to the Gothic brick castle on an island.
Overnight in Vilnius.
Day 4: Vilnius-Rundale-Dikli
Drive to Latvia. Today we get acquainted with the baroque Latvian Palace – Rundale – that was built by the Duke of Courland in the 18th century.
Overnight in the lovingly restored Dikli manor house.
Day 5: Dikli-Tartu-Sagadi
Drive to Estonia, on the way sightseeing in Tartu, the traditional university town of Estonia, once well-known Hanseatic city.
Overnight at Sagadi Manor.
Day 6: Sagadi-NP Lahemaa-Tallinn
Morning sightseeing in the Lahemaa National Park, whose landscape with peninsulas reaching far into the sea and restored manor houses is one of the most beautiful in Estonia. Coffee break of lunch with visit at Palmse Manor house.
Afternoon sightseeing in Tallinn including visit in Kadriorg Palace. The historic center of Tallinn has retained its medieval face unchanged and is a true pearl of cultural and historical importance.
Overnight in Tallinn.
Day 7: Tallinn-Riga
In the morning further explorations in Tallinn or drive to Riga with a stop in the Baltic Sea resort of Pärnu.
Overnight in Riga.
Day 8, Friday: Riga
Drop off the rental car at the airport. Return flight.
